Educational Projects

Roth & Seelen has designed educational facilities for both public and private organizations throughout the greater Boston area and eastern Massachusetts, with a focus on special needs education. Clients and projects include South Shore Educational Collaborative in Hingham, Covenant Christian Academy in Peabody, The May Institute in Randolph, Northshore Education Consortium in Beverly, and Pilgrim Academy in Plymouth.

Pilgrim Academy, Plymouth, MA

Pilgrim Academy, a division of the Pilgrim Area Collaborative, in Plymouth, MA, is a small, structured, therapeutic school for students in grades 5-12 experiencing significant social, emotional, and/or behavioral difficulties. The project involved the doubling in size of the existing school, and the partial renovation of existing spaces. New construction included new main entry, main administration space, student lunch room, and classroom facilities. Site work included new student drop-off/pick-up space, parking, and outside play areas. The project was constructed while the school was in session, and no school days were lost due to construction activity. 

South Shore Educational Collaborative, Hingham, MA

The South Shore Educational Collaborative in Hingham, MA, is a special needs school, 86,000 SF in area, serving 10 member school districts. The Collaborative provides specialized education, counseling, and therapeutic services for students with moderate to intense learning, intellectual, emotional, physical, and medical challenges, from pre-K through age 21.
